Concept Search Pre-Review
Analysis: Evident’s analytics can be used as
part of a pre-review analysis to
help cull large document sets, or to aid reviewers in a
linier review, submitting concept based queries against
datasets where traditional keyword and Boolean searches
will simply not return the desired information.
For example, concept search understands the words
“terminating” and “firing” and also the phrase “ending
association with” are all describing the same idea or
meaning. The ability to leverage the power of true
concept searching and advanced analytics is critical to
the ability to perform intelligent review.
Relevancy Ranking:
Evident’s concept search with ‘Relevancy Ranking’ allows
reviewers to enter a keyword, sentence or phrase and
quickly find all documents that are conceptually-related
to that query, along with a score of just how “relevant”
each document is.
Concept Search:
Concept Search finds results based on the meaning of the
documents rather than the presence or absence of
specific keywords.
With keyword search, the results are only as good as the
information the reviewer puts in. A good reviewer
can overcome some of the limits of keyword search – such
as finding “stems” and word derivatives (plurals,
different keyword forms, etc.), but they can’t overcome
the fact that keyword searching is essentially “dumb.”
Concept search, on the other hand, deals with the
subject matter for which you’re searching. |
