Evident’s World Class Data
Center
Your documents are stored and backed up in a world class
infrastructure with fully redundant connectivity, state
of the art monitoring, HVAC, fire suppression and
security. To further insure full operation without
interruption, the Data Center has redundant power
provided by three separate electrical grids and
additionally utilizes on-site generators in the event of
a complete power grid failure. With Evident, there is no
need to worry about adding servers or other hardware to
support even your most complex case. We scale the
servers based on the size and needs of your specific
legal matter. Additionally, your documents are available
from any computer, anywhere in the world.
Data Center Security Overview:
SaaS (Software as a Service) is widely becoming the next
generation for document management and document review
platforms. SaaS companies must ensure their
infrastructure is secure and reliable. Evident’s data is
stored in an SAS Type II compliant data center. An SAS
70 Type II designation signifies that an independent
accounting and auditing firm has examined a data center
’s control objectives and control activities, and it has
met their rigorous standards. The Data Center housing
your documents has exceeds those standards with fully
redundant connectivity and world-class infrastructure,
as well as state-of-the-art monitoring and security
systems. Evident’s Data Center monitors and maintains
all of its own power systems, HVAC, network
connectivity, advanced fire suppression systems and
access control technology.
Evident’s Multi-Level Data
Security
IP Address Lockdown:
Evident systems can be locked down to only accept
connections from users on specific IP addresses
Web quota: Limits
access to computer resources based on user accounts, and
provides dictionary attack protection that recognizes
and prevents unauthorized logins
Robot Rejection: Many Search engines use “robots” to
find web pages for public searching; with Evident’s
Robot Rejection Utility, your case information cannot be
read or added to their databases
Data Transfer Encryption:
The industry-standard security “handshake” provided by
SSL encrypts all data moving between the Evident
Discovery server and the user’s computer
Password Strength:
Enables firms to define password requirements that meet
security guidelines established by the U.S. National
Institute of Standards and Technology
Case Filtering:
Controls the databases, which are available to each user
– they see the cases they’re supposed to see, and they
don’t even know other cases exist
Folders Security:
Ensures the integrity of folders by controlling who can
see those folders and who can add or remove documents
to/from a folder, providing another method for
controlling the level of access granted to different
users
